| Sailing Festival "Crimea Gathers the Friends" | BLACK SEA YACHTSMEN’S ASSOCIATION YACHT CLUB " YUG " CRIMEA CUP – 2001 NOTICE OF RACE 1. ORGANIZING COMMITTEE The Black Sea Yachtsmen's Association and the Yacht Club "YUG" organizes the 12th offshore race "Crimea Cup - 2001" for yachts measured under IOR, IMS and NRMOY SFU-99. The race will be held from June 8th to June 20th, 2001 and will sailed on the waters of the Black Sea in the Crimea, Ukraine. 2. RULES The Crimea Cup - 2001 will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing ISAF (RRC), this Notice of Race, the Sailing Instructions, the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea, The Offshore Racing Council Rules (O.R.C.) Special Regulations governing minimum standards Category 2 (White Book), The Ukraine National Measurement System (HRMOY SFU-99). 3. ADVERTISING The regatta is classified as Category B as per RRS Appendix G. All yachts in Crimea Cup should display advertising of the event sponsors, if required by the Organizing Authority. 4. ENTRIES Participating yachts are monohull and multihull cruising and racing sailboats with an overall length of 7 meters or more. Preliminary entries should be presented to the Black Sea Yachtsmen's Association (BSYA) before 1st of May 2001. Entries should be sent to the address: Entries shall include competitor's full name, boat name and club, a copy of Measurement Certificate and accommodation reservation requirements. Organizer may accept late entries with double entry fee.

SUBDIVISION OF CLASSES The Race Committee reserves the right to decide the subdivision of various classes and different handicap systems, closer to the event but before the skippers meeting according to the entries as needed. 8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The Sailing Instructions will be distributed at the Skippers Meeting on Friday June 8th 9. PRIZES AND TROPHIES Crews scoring First, Second and Third place in each Class (in case of more than 5 competitors in the Class), would be awarded with Cups, Medals, Diplomas by Organizing Authorities and also with Prizes by Sponsors. For fastest absolute speed when sailing all the Regatta's Legs special prizes "Blue Strip of the Crimea" would be awarded. Honorary Yachtsmen Iliya Okhomush, Valerie Zubanov and Eugenie Kudravtzev Memory Challenge Cups would be raced for during the same Legs. 10. RESPONSIBILITY Each competing yacht must be insured against third party risks for the whole period of the regatta as well as during the races. The organizing Authority and the various Committees of the "Crimea Cup 2001" do not accept any liability for loss of life or property, caused by or in connection with this Regatta. Competitors participate entirely at their own risk and responsibility. 11. MOORING FACILITIES To all participating yachts mooring facilities will be available at the organizing Club's Harbour as well as at the port stations, free of charge, from June 5 to June 24 inclusive.
